Obituary of Mary A. Walls
Mary A. (Sheva) Walls, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by Family on February 25, 2025, in Southampton, Pennsylvania.
Born on March 20, 1936, in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, Mary graduated from Shenandoah High School before pursuing a career in nursing through the Northeastern Hospital Nursing Program. Her dedication to caring for others led her to work at Northeastern Hospital and later at Blessed John Neumann Nursing Home, where she provided compassionate care to many.
Mary shared a beautiful life with her beloved spouse, Francis J. "Mick" Walls Jr., with whom she was married 52 years before his passing. She is survived by her children: Kathy and her husband Michael Grant; Michael and his wife Andrea; and Judy and her husband Dan Farnan. Mary was a cherished grandmother to Brianna (Brian), Sarah (Dustin), Colleen (Billy), Samantha, Michael, Sean, Julia, Dylan, and Grace. She also adored her great-grandchildren: Madelyn, Colin, Chloe, and Keira.
Mary is also survived by her brother Bill Sheva; sisters-in-law Mary Henry and Joanne Walls; brother-in-law John Dlugosz; as well as Thomas & Mary Walls. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles & Julia Sheva; parents-in-law Francis & Helen Walls; as well as Joseph & Jane Walls, James P. Walls, and Patricia Dlugosz.
Mary had a vibrant personality that brought joy to those around her. She found happiness in simple pleasures—watching favorite TV shows like *Everybody Loves Raymond*, classic soap operas from the '70s and '80s, and indulging in the Food Network’s culinary delights. A devoted Philadelphia sports fan, she especially loved the Eagles and the 76ers, proudly collecting bobbleheads of her favorite player, Allen Iverson. Shopping trips were always a highlight for her, but nothing compared to time spent with family, something she treasured above all else. And when it came to food? Mashed potatoes, Diet Coke and Veal Franchise topped the list of favorites.
Later in life, Mary had many wonderful, kind, devoted helpers. We thank them all, especially Sue & Nino.
Mary’s sweet nature, fun-loving spirit, and caring heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
Relatives and friends may greet the family 10:00 A.M to 11:15 A.M. Monday March 3rd at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton. Where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
