Victor Friscia

Obituary of Victor A. Friscia

Victor A. Friscia of Jamison, PA, transitioned peacefully on February 26, 2025, one day after his 98th birthday.

Victor (Vic) was born to Accursio and Julia Friscia (Gramaglia) in the Bronx, New York. Two days after his 18th birthday, he joined the US Navy, serving in the Pacific Theatre in WWII, honorably discharged in 1946. He was the beloved husband of Eileen V. Friscia (Castellane) for 64 years and devoted father to Linda Friscia-Oppé (Maurice) and Richard Friscia (Cynthia).  His grandson and namesake, Victor Friscia, was one of his biggest joys in life. Vic is also survived by nephews, Mark Miccioli (Angela) and Robert Manzitti as well as second cousins.

In 1966 Vic and Eileen moved to Horsham, PA where they resided until 2016. His work life began in the banking industry which led to a long career in finance and culminated as the President of NORSCO Federal Credit Union. He worked tirelessly to ensure his family’s needs and faced challenges with fortitude.

He and Eileen (deceased 2018) always made time for family and close friends. Over the years, there was much festivity and many happy moments to celebrate and gather for notable events. Both were ardent, lifelong baseball fans of the NY Yankees. Bowling in a league and for leisure was a favorite pastime. Vic could also be found on the golf course. In later years, their domestic and international travels included various cruises and tours to Europe. Upon Vic’s retirement at age 77(!), winter months were spent among best friends in Venice, Florida.

Vic seemed to relish life and made the most of his nearly ten decades.  He was remarkably good natured, had a great sense of humor and wisdom, and never missed a chance to lend a helping hand when needed.

His grand presence and warm smile will be missed immeasurably. Victor, our father, was a true role model who we will admire forevermore.

Family and friends may greet the family at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 7th at Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home, 529 N. York Road, Hatboro, PA where Vic’s Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Pine Grove Memorial Park, 1475 County Line Road, Hatboro.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the Lehigh Valley Veterans History Project (www.lvveteranshistory.org) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
