David E. Haigh Obituary

David E. Haigh, 83, of Harleysville, passed away on June 22, 2025, at Jefferson Abington Hospital surrounded by his loving family.Born in Christchurch, New Zealand, to the late Eric William Haigh and Willis Thelma Haigh (nee Carpenter).


David was an avid traveler. He recently cruised to the Antartic and was planning a cruise around Iceland. He loved helping his great step-grandson Rowan as part of his racing crew.


David spent his career working as an engineer in the mining industry and warehouse manager until his retirement.


David is survived by his stepchildren: Janice Pennink and her husband Mark of BrynAthyn, Lauren Packer of Hatboro, and Larry Packer of Philadelphia and Wendy Boucher and her husband Dave of Hatboro. He is also survived by seven step-grandchildren and eleven step-great-grandchildren. David was the beloved brother of Neil Haigh of New Zealand and Pauline Haigh of Australia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Haigh, in 2004 and his step-grand daughter Becky Boucher in 2010.


Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
