Richard W. Pancoast, 86, of Warminster, passed away on June 26, 2025, in Warminster, Pennsylvania.
Richard was born in Philadelphia to Carl and Florence (née Scharpf) Pancoast. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1957 and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Muhlenberg College.
He married Kathleen (DeCourcey), and together they built a life filled with family and love. Richard worked in customer service for Philadelphia Electric for 27 years, retiring in 1991. He proudly served in the United States Army.
During his school years, Richard was an accomplished basketball player at Springfield High School and later developed a lifelong passion for golf. He continued sharing his love of sports as a CYO and township coach and basketball referee.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his children, Maureen (Jerry) Waddington, Rich (Kelly) Pancoast, Ellen (Mike) Regan; his grandchildren Sarah, Kate, Matt, Owen, Grace, Gavin, Molly, Ella and his sister, Karen Fazekas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl “Bud” Pancoast, in 1999.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 1795 Columbia Ave, Warrington, PA 18976. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
