John H. Beattie, 88, of Hatboro, passed away on July 5, 2025, at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia.
John was born in Pewee Valley, Kentucky, to the late Ernest Beattie and Anne (née O’Boyle) Beattie. He graduated from Roman Catholic High School in 1955.
He worked in construction as a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 for 43 years. John was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was a parishioner of St. John Bosco Church in Hatboro, a life member at the Club of Fulmer Heights, and a past Mummer with the Duffy String Band Club. In his free time, John enjoyed golfing, tinkering in the garage, keeping his hands busy with projects, and most of all, spending quality, time with his grandchildren(John Beattie, Hailey Beattie, Catherine Healy, Annalee Berardi, Margaret Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan, John Sullivan, Bridget Sullivan, Tommy Beattie, Jocelyn Beattie) and great-grandchildren (Siena Mercurio, Joey Mercurio, Brady Harris, Rocky Harris, Paul Mercurio, Nina Berardi).
John is survived by his wife, Catherine (née Rhodes); his beloved children, John H. Beattie (Barbara Lynn), Siena C. Healy (James), Mary-Kate Sullivan (Dave), and Thomas B. Beattie (Joanne). He was the dear grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 5.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:45 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, July 14, 2025, at St. John Bosco Church, 235 E. County Line Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
