Edgar J. "Ed" Langdon Obituary

Edgar (Ed) Langdon, 88 of Warminster, PA passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. Ed was born in Philadelphia on October 21, 1936.


He attended North Catholic High School and graduated from LaSalle University in 1968.


He worked at SKF as a researcher and then as the head of the respiratory department and as a hematology lab technician at Chestnut Hill Hospital where he retired from after 40 years. He then spent some of his retirement years working at the Buccafuri Nursery where he put his love of gardening to use, he also enjoyed time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to whom he was known as “Pop Pop”.


Ed was active in his church, serving as a eucharistic minister, with the Knights of Columbus and volunteered to help at carnivals and other events. He loved working outdoors and always had a big garden.


Ed would do anything for his family and friends, and we will always cherish the significance of his presence in our lives.


Ed is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary (Corchiolo), daughter Deborah (Mike) Markle, son Edgar III (Joan) Langdon, son Stephen (Linda) Langdon and son Mark (Heidi) Langdon, his grandchildren; Elizabeth (John) Simpson, Michelle (Tom) Stephens, Mark (Kaylyn) Langdon, Christian Markle, Brendan (Alice) Markle, Sarah (Jack) Bates,Vincent Langdon, Heather Langdon, and Edgar Langdon IV and his great-grandchildren; Ryan and Noah Simpson, Norah Stephens, Charlotte and Jonny Bates, Ethan, Hope and Vanessa Markle, and his brother Robert (Bob) Langdon.


He is preceded in death by his brother John Langdon, brother-in-law Louis (Jr.) Corchiolo and his parents Edgar and Angelina Langdon.


A viewing will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 625 W. Street Rd, Warminster, PA 18974. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. followed by internment at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
