David MacFarland, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Andrea (the late George), Kathryn (the late Joseph), and Susan (the late John); his brothers, Christopher (Cate) and Peter; his nephew, Christopher; and his nieces, Molly and Sara.

David lived life with curiosity, humor, and a strong sense of adventure. He was an avid fisherman and cyclist, and he found great joy in riding his Harley-Davidson on the open roads. Known for his impeccable sense of style, David was a devoted collector of men’s shoes—often delighting friends and family by challenging them to guess which pair he was wearing that day.

A Mass in the Roman Catholic tradition will be celebrated in his memory at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Road, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, November 18 th at 11:00 a.m.

David will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his spirit of warmth and playfulness will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
