It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Kosty aka Mike Kosty Jr. on March 20, 2026. A man of wit and loyalty, Michael's life was filled with love, laughter, and an unyielding passion for the intricate world of machinery. One of his favorite places was his back yard, either helping Rose with her gardens or restoring his 52  Chevy pickup or rebuilding some piece of equipment  followed by time relaxing by his fire pit either alone or with friends.It’s said “A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything," and Mike often provided those around him with the former, his witty comments and humorous observations serving as a beacon of joy in any gathering.

A retired machinist and former business owner, Mike had a love for all things mechanical, his skills as a craftsman only rivaled by his devotion to Formula One Racing and the Phillies. He was renowned for his ability to fix anything, and his meticulous nature was reflected in his work. Mike was a man who found joy in the details, in the precise moments where precision and creativity coalesced into a beautiful solution or a perfectly executed project. His dedication to his craft was not just a hobby, but a testament to his belief that “Excellence is in the details. He always felt anything can be fixed and if it couldn’t then maybe it could be used for parts. “Give attention to the details and excellence will come.”

Michael leaves behind his beloved wife, Rose Festa, and his treasured daughters, Sonya Kosty and Tanya Kennedy along with his 5 grandchildren ( Hilary Kosty, Owen Bolt, Hannah Bolt, Sophia Bolt, Marcus Kennedy and great grandson Dominic Garman. His memory will live on in their hearts, and in the countless lives he touched with his distinctive charm and steadfast loyalty. His was a life of passion and purpose, and his legacy will be remembered in every machine he fixed, every race he watched, and every laugh he shared.
