Criselda Pe Tejano died of lung cancer in the afternoon of April 22, 2026 in Abington, Pennsylvania She is survived by her children, Jae Christine and Juan Carlo, and her five grandchildren, Jillianne Christi, Jordin Claire, Jared Christopher, Juanito Crisanto III, and Rosa Caterina.

Cris was born on February 27, 1957 in Araceli, Palawan, Philippines to Felipe Arzaga Pe and Lydia Bascara Roncal. She was the fourth of eight children. She went to Cecilio Apostol Elementary School and Our Lady of Grace Academy in Caloocan, Philippines. She graduated from the University of the East in Manila with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and became a Philippine-certified public accountant in 1980. She met her husband, Juanito Tejano, in the same university and married him in 1981.

Cris worked at Equitable Bank and the Philippine National Oil Company. Eventually, she started Elite Fashion Manufacturing Corporation, a garments company with clothing brand Glimpse, with her cousins. The company sold clothes in malls all over the Philippines, with boutiques in 11 SM malls. After closing the company, she moved to the United States. She worked at H&R Block, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Prudential, and Allstate. She gave her very best wherever she worked. In 2020, she became a US-certified public accountant at the age of 63.

Cris was the life of the party. She also loved to travel. She visited 43 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and America. She was an endless source of wisdom and inspiration for family and friends, especially her daughter, Jae, who became a doctor of physical therapy, and her son, Carlo, who became a lawyer. She was a doting lola who adored her grandchildren and took care of all of them.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Cris' viewing on Monday, April 27th from 6-8pm at Plunkett Funeral at 529 N. York Rd. Hatboro, PA. 19040. And again on Tuesday, April 28th from 10-10:45am at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church at 1410 Almshouse Rd. Jamison, PA, where her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am. Interment will be private. 

She will be missed dearly and will forever be in her family and friends’ hearts.
