Doris M. Peacock
Doris M. Peacock of Warminster died Friday, March 17, 2017. She was 85.
She was the wife for 61 years to the late James Peacock Sr.
Born in Yonkers, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Isabel (Outhouse) Sammon. At various times, Doris worked for Otis Elevator Co., The Goddard School, a bakery, and as a cook for the sisters at Nativity of Our Lord Convent and occasionally the priests at St. Robert's Rectory.
She was a Cub Scout den mother and Brownie leader, avid bowler, and member of St. Catherine's Prayer Group. She was a Eucharistic Minister, CCD instructor, church housekeeper, and prayer group member at St. Robert's for many years.
She enjoyed time with family and friends, knitting, crocheting, sewing, boating and fishing.
She was the mother of James Jr. (Dorothy), Gerald (Eileen), David (Arlene), Diane Healy (Edward) and Janice Bennis (the late Paul), and the sister of Gerald Sammon and the late Kathleen Dale, Patricia Maloney, and Helen Peterson-Gasca. She also is survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington. Interment will be held in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
