Obituary of Martin J. Westermann

Martin Westermann Sr.
Martin Westermann Sr. went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 14, 2017 after a short illness. He was 82.
He was born May 6, 1935 to Joseph and Barbara Westermann. He was a proud 1952 graduate of the "Prep" (St. Joseph Preparatory High School). 
He married Mary Lou Gallagher and together they enjoyed 56 years of marriage before the first love of his life passed in April 2008. Marty was employed by Philadelphia Electric for 41 years before his retirement in 1994.
Marty and Mary Lou are survived by their seven children, Mary Lou, Marty Jr., Terry, Patty, Lisa, Anne Marie, and Ellen.  It was with much joy that Sue Klunder came into his life in 2013 and became his wife in October 2014. Additional joys in his life were the times spent at McCall Field Golf Course and gardening. Important in his life were his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Rita Webster, Francis, Barbara Jefferies, Edward, Donald, and Kathy Farren. Marty was preceded in death by brother, Joseph and sister, Sr. Rosie.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 9:30 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington, PA 18976, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marty can be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Church or Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls Philadelphia, Pa.
