Obituary of Robert C. Ganther Sr.


 Robert C. Ganther Sr. died peacefully after a short illness on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington, Pa. He was 80.
     Born June 3, 1937, Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia; his sons, Robert Jr. and Richard; his sister, Doris Lynn; nieces, Michelle Finn, Cindy Cupitt, and Dianne Dennin (Rob), along with James Earley, Jessica, Kevin and Kelly Dennin, Debbie Smith (Ray), and Jeff Lynn (Tracey); grandchildren, Catrina Ganther (Jan Kozak) and Keith Ganther (Breanna); and great-grandchildren, Lawrence K. Ganther, and Benjamin and Carter Kozak. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
     He was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence, in 2009. 
     Bob and Pat were married Oct. 8, 1960. Bob was a graduate of Girard College, Class of 1955, where he met and made many lifelong friends ("Brothers"). Bob retired from Philadelphia Gas Works in 1999.
     Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home, 529 N. York Road, Hatboro, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday, at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington, PA 18976, where the funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
     In lieu of flowers, donations to Girard College or St. Robert Bellarmine would be greatly appreciated.
