Obituary of E. W. Craggs

E.W. Nick Craggs, of Warrington, formerly of Churchville died on May 17, 2018. He was 87. He was the husband of the late Bernice G. (Young) Craggs with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Thomas and Edith (Lange) Craggs. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, graduated from Frankford High School in 1947 and went on to proudly serve in the Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of Ironworkers Local 401 for 54 years, serving on the Executive Board, as the Business Agent and as the Health and Welfare and Pension Administrator for over 30 years. Nick was mainly known for his jokes and stories, he had one for every situation and occasion and always left everyone with a laugh and a smile. He was preceded in death by his three older brothers, Thomas, Earl, and Robert Craggs. He is survived by his son Brian (Patrice) and granddaughter Margaret of New Britain. Relatives and friends may greet the family 11:30 A.M. to 12:45 P.M., Tuesday May 29th at Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home 529 N. York Rd., Hatboro Memorial Service 1:00 P.M. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Abington Hospice at Warminster, 225 Newtown Road, Warminster, PA 18974 in his name.
