Obituary of Anita B. Conrad
Anita (Babilon) Conrad, 80, of Hatboro, PA, went to heaven on January 22, 2019.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on May 23, 1938, daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Lieb) Babilon. She is survived by her husband, Robert Conrad, and their children Carol Conrad Sautner (husband Rob Sautner,) Rob Conrad (wife Beth Hunt Conrad,) Chip Conrad (wife Laura Lehman Conrad) and Barbara (deceased.) She is also survived by 8 grandchildren – Amanda and Bobby Sautner; Alex, Elise and Caitlin Conrad; and Tyler, Christina and Noah Conrad. Anita has 6 siblings – George Babilon (wife Veronica,) Henry Babilon (wife Mary Ellen,) Helen Conrad – deceased (husband Paul Conrad – deceased,) Marie Wilson (husband Richard Wilson – deceased,) Albert Babilon – deceased (wife Teresa,) and Adam Babilon (wife Patricia.)
Anita graduated from Saint Peter’s Business School and from Temple University with a BA in Business Administration. Anita was employed at the Fleer Corp, Becker CPA Review Course, and Sun Company as a Marketing Manager.
Anita’s greatest love was caring for her family. She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader, a Cub Scout Den Mother, a parent volunteer at Round Meadow School and a math tutor. She was an amazing mom who made her children’s lives special and who gave unconditional love. Anita took great delight in her 8 grandchildren. She was a constant cheerleader for their success in academics, various activities and teams. She loved to encourage their musical interests and enjoyed hosting an annual recital after Thanksgiving dinner where they could showcase their musical talents.
Anita was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed attending classical music and opera concerts. She loved animals including her 3 cats, rabbit and 5 lovebirds. She loved to sew, especially for family and friends in need of her talents. She also served as a member of the Bucks County Dairy Promotion Committee. She was faithful to the Lord and was involved in many capacities at Saint John Bosco Parish – as a choir member for more than 45 years, Lector, Cantor, Eucharistic Minister, Women’s Guild, Altar and Rosary Society, and an office volunteer.
A visitation is scheduled at Saint John Bosco Church 235 E. Countyline Rd. in Hatboro, PA on February 2nd, 2019 from 8:30 am – 10:15 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Saint John Neumann cemetery Chalfont. All are welcome to join and celebrate Anita’s life.
