Josephine Mohr
Josephine M. (DeCarlo) Mohr of Hatboro passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2015. She was 98.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Angiolina (Vuotto) DeCarlo.
Josephine was primarily a homemaker, but when she was a young woman, she worked for Oscar Nevel's Hosiery Mill on Jacksonville Road and later made the famous tea sandwiches for John Wanamaker Department store's restaurant in Jenkintown.
Friends will remember seeing "Josie" riding in the recent Hatboro Tricentennial parade with her husband, Bill, the oldest Hatboro resident at 107.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, William A. Mohr. She was the devoted mother of William T. Mohr and his wife, Dolores, Joanne Hartshorne and her husband, C. Dale, Gary Mohr and his wife, Jo, and Richard Mohr and his wife, Beth and the loving grandmother of Christopher and Connor Mohr. Her brother, Anthony DeCarlo, also survives her.
Relatives and friends are invited to call after 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at St. John Bosco Church, 215 E. County Line Rd., Hatboro, PA 19040, where her memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Second Alarmer’s Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 13, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
