Obituary of Therese E. Scott

Therese E. (Terry) Scott, 86 of Maple Glen PA passed away August 15th at Woodland Creek Special Care Center of Dresher. Born September 11, 1933, Terry was the daughter of William and Agatha (Mahony) Kaiser. Terry was a graduate of Melrose Academy and Gwynedd Mercy College where she made many lifetime friends. She enjoyed sports throughout her school days and was the captain of her basketball and field hockey teams. Terry married Fred Scott on February 20, 1954 and enjoyed 61 years of marriage. They honeymooned at Skytop Lodge and continued to enjoy many family vacations there, including celebrating their 60th anniversary with their children and grandchildren in 2014. She and Fred lived in the Oak Lane section of Philadelphia until 1965. They then moved to Maple Glen, where she was a member of Saint Alphonsus Church and Whitemarsh Valley Country Club. She enjoyed golf, tennis, bridge and frequent trips to the casino. She loved to travel whether it be to Palm Beach, Ireland, or Italy. Terry is survived by her children, Rick (Diana), Greg (Sally), Stephen (Lori), David (Jeanne) Liz Moore (Bill), Susan Pursell and Tom; her 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law Richard Scott (Janice). She was predeceased by her husband, Fred. A private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus with interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
