Obituary of Ross J. Smith
Ross James Smith, 71, of Warminster, PA, passed away on November 20, 2020 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Hempstead, Long Island, New York but lived in Warminster most of his life.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, his service and interment are private. Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home in Hatboro will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Many people will remember Ross for his big heart, laughter, hugs and kisses on the cheek. He loved his family. He was a people person and could engage anyone in conversation. Everyone that knew him is left with the special memory of a funny story. Those blessed to know Ross for years have multiple amusing stories to hold in their hearts. He loved tattoos and skulls. His skull ring jewelry collection provided him with an endless assortment of rings that he enjoyed wearing every day – one for each finger. He was an avid sportsman that like to hunt and hear about the achievements of others. He also liked to fish and enjoyed hearing the details of fellow fishermen’s catches. During earlier years, he could be found spending time at Claytons Hunting & Fishing. His prized possession was his Harley, which was equipped with every bell and whistle available.
Ross is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary, daughter Ashley Frugoli (Mike), son Ross, brothers Scott and Tom, his dear Aunt Helen Fehr, and many cherished brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved son, Eric. He is also survived by his adoring pets, Pearl, Jewel, Gem and Ruby and Grand dog, Milo. Each dog knew that even though he said he was not sharing his food, he always did.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to The Gift of Life Family House, 401 Callowhill Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. The Gift of Life Family House is dear to Ross and his family for the support they provided after Eric’s death.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Abington-Jefferson Hospice for their assistance and compassion over the past 4 months.
