Obituary of Wanda Andres

Wanda was called home to the Lord on March 11th, 2021. Born June 3rd, 1922 to the late Boleslaw and Marya Wydro. Wanda is predeceased by her sisters Laura McKinley and Bronislawa Wydro. She was a child of the depression, first in her family to graduate from Frankford High School in 1939 and served on their reunion committee. She lived through WWII, married and had 2 children. Beloved mother of Denise Benninghoff (Daniel) and Kevin Andres. Precious grandmother of Kurt Benninghoff (Natalie). She will be dearly missed by several nephews and nieces. She was extremely proud of her Polish heritage baking babka and crucziki for family and friends. She worked at Rohm and Hass for 26 years as an executive secretary. After retiring to help raise her grandson, she volunteered at the McDonald Elementary School Library for 7 years. She also volunteered at the out-patient services department of Warminster Hospital for 14 years. She survived cancer twice. She was a member of St. John Bosco Parish and the Ladies Quilting Club. A mass of Christian burial will be held March 16th 10:30AM at St. John Bosco Church, 215, E. County Line Rd. Hatboro, PA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Abington Health Foundation/Jefferson Health Hospice at Warminster, 1200 Old York Rd. PA. 19001.
