Obituary of Paul E. Gombeda III
Paul E. Gombeda, III, of Hatboro, passed suddenly on March 30, 2021, with his family by his side. He was born in Hazelton, PA on February 1, 1958, to Paul J. Gombeda, Jr. and Margaret (Acri) Gombeda. He was preceded in death by both parents and his beloved dog, Vader.
Paul was raised in Roslyn but returned to his birthplace to attend Hazleton High School. From there, he enlisted in the US Navy in 1976, serving as an air crewman in Corpus Christi, TX, until he was honorably discharged. Upon his return to civilian life, he married briefly and proudly fathered two sons, Paulie IV and Shane. Paul followed in his father’s footsteps as an electrician working for the family business.
Among the residents of Broad Street, he was considered the unofficial mayor of Hatboro telling tales of his many years in town to anyone who would listen. For 40 years, Paul wove himself in many stories throughout the town and its people. He was regularly spotted at Silvio’s and grew to love Hatboro’s finest.
Paul leaves behind his sons, two sisters, Roni and Ann Reedel (Dave), brother Edward (Heather), many nieces and nephews, and Nicole Felicetti, whom he looked upon as a daughter. After his family, Paul’s life circled around his greatest love, Vader. They were often spotted walking around town, chatting up anyone along their way. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Tuesday April 6th at 12:30 P.M. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Cheltenham Avenue and Easton Road in Cheltenham
