Obituary of William C. Seiberlich
William C. Seiberlich of Warminster, Pennsylvania passed away on May 17, 2021 at the age of 91. Born in Philadelphia to William and Alice Seiberlich (Trainor), he was awarded a scholarship and attended La Salle College High School, class of 1947. William graduated from La Salle College in 1951 and earned a Master’s degree from Temple University. William enjoyed a 40-year career in education for the School District of Philadelphia as a teacher, then principal. He is predeceased by his first wife of 11 years Joan Seiberlich (née Rusnack) and daughter Joan (Walter) Simmons. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Dolores Seiberlich (née Roby) and children William (Therese) Seiberlich, Ann Seiberlich, Ellen (James) Hardy, Alice (Richard) Gaibler, Elizabeth (Kevin) Duffy, Dolores (Richard) Rossman and Joseph (Colleen) Seiberlich as well as 17 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
William was a long-time resident and respected member of the Upper Moreland community for more than 50 years, where he raised his family and participated in numerous organizations and activities. Besides his dedication to education, William was also passionate about sports and local political leadership. He officiated and directed leagues in various sports at many levels, including youth baseball, soccer, basketball and track. Bill was also an off-ice official for the National Hockey League for over 35 years. He was an avid bridge player. Bill’s political accomplishments included participation in the Upper Moreland School Board and President of the Upper Moreland Board of Commissioners.
William was a dedicated member of the St. John Bosco Church community, serving as a Eucharistic Minister.
His family will be celebrating Bill’s life in a private service. In lieu of flowers, Bill has instead requested that those interested take a senior citizen out to lunch in his memory.
