Robert Shiffler

Obituary of Robert A. Shiffler

Robert “Bob” Shiffler, of Warminster, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Bob was 74 years old and shared 54 years of marriage with his beloved wife Wendy Shiffler (Pyffer). Born in Philadelphia, Bob was the son of the late Allen and Marie (Gallagher) Shiffler. He is a proud graduate of North Catholic High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the of Vietnam War where he was deployed from 1966 until 1968. He was honorably discharged in 1968 with a rank of Corporal. He spent forty successful years in sales within the metals industry before his retirement in 2010. He was a very talented sales professional who thrived due to his ability to form long lasting relationships which culminated in multiple salesperson of the year awards. In his humble fashion, he was always sure to praise his colleagues who assisted him in his success. Bob was an avid golfer who spent many weekends playing local courses with family and friends (always seeking a good deal of course). One fun fact is that over his golfing career he had scored three hole in ones which as any golfer knows is a quite an accomplishment. He was also a passionate fan of our Philadelphia Eagles and watching NFL football on Sundays. However, nothing brought him more pleasure than spending time with his family. Family and friends were always welcome in his home and he was genuinely interested in what was going on in each of their lives. “Papa Shif” as he was affectionally known by those close to him was a true gift from God to both our family and to all who knew him. In addition to his wife Wendy, Bob is survived by his loving children Boe Shiffler (Danielle), Scott Shiffler, and Kellianne Batula (Philip). He was the brother of Dennis Shiffler. Bob was the loving grandfather of Quinn, Kieran, Drew, Maeve and Gavin Shiffler and Benjamin Batula. He was also the adoring Uncle of many nephews and nieces. Relatives and Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, 9:30-10:45 A.M. at St. John Bosco Church, 235 E. County Line Rd, Hatboro, PA. 19040. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. His family will hold a Private Military Interment at a future date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would kindly request donations in Bob’s name to Heroic Gardens who serve local Veterans with the healing power of nature.
