Obituary of Diane Rieco

Diane Rieco, born in Chestnut Hill, PA on 11/25/1958, died peacefully on November 30, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Mildred & Edward Shortall and was raised in Warminster, PA. She was a 1976 graduate of Archbishop Wood High School for Girls and attended Temple University. Diane spent her career as a comptroller for several companies, her most recent with Pest Control Technicians. Diane was a devoted mother to Taylor Jeanne Rieco, the light of her life, who predeceased her in July, 2020. They had a special bond that no one could break and enjoyed many hours going to concerts and watching movies. She was a step-grandmother to Keith Weisel, who she spoiled and adored. She could be very comical and always had a joke to tell. She loved spending time cuddling with her dog Simba, doing crossword puzzles and reading. Diane loved listening, dancing and singing to Motown and the Oldies. And most of all there wasn’t a Karoke night she didn’t know about. She is survived by her sisters, Denise Boyd (Tom), Diedre Hockenbury (Steve), step-grandson Keith Weisel, partner Mike Constantine and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins & friends. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family, Friday, December 10, 2021 at Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home in Hatboro, PA from 9:30am to 11:00 immediately followed by a prayer service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her daughter, Taylor Jeanne’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at Donate.LLS.org.
