Sam was born on July 15, 2022 in Fort Dix, NJ. Sam was a loving son to his mother, Patricia A. Simmler Walsh, of Warrington, PA. In addition to his mother, Sam is survived by his stepmother, Lois Culp, his life-long friend, companion and sometimes his “PITA”, Tina Grasso, his son, Jesse Grasso (Jessica), his grandchildren, Xander, who Sam fondly nicknamed “Lefty”, and Callie, his sisters Stephanie Kelly (Patrick) and Christine Jaudas (Thomas), his nieces Brittany and Shelby, his nephews, Austin, Colin and Ryan and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sam was predeceased by his father, Samuel D. Culp, Sr., his stepfather, Patrick Walsh, his uncles, Johnathon Simmler and Thomas Simmler, Sr., and his cousin, Thomas “T.J.” Simmler, Jr. Sam was passionate about sports and music. He never missed an opportunity to attend a concert or watch a game. He could always be found on the sidelines, in the dugout, or just standing along the fence mentoring, coaching, and supporting his son, nephews, and kids from the neighborhood and area youth organizations. Sam was a lifelong fan of the Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Sam’s family, friends and neighborhood will always remember him for his positive attitude, famous quotes, contagious laughter, and ribbing sense-of humor – especially when needling his family and friends with sports and music trivia. Sam has forever touched the lives of those who knew him, and we welcome everyone to visit the Tribute Wall and share their favorite memory and quote of Sam. Sam graduated from Central Bucks High School, Buckingham, PA, in 1985. That same year, Sam graduated from Middle Bucks Vocational School, Jamison, PA, where he studied Plumbing. Sam’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to the healthcare and social-work professionals at Davita, Willow Grove, PA, who took such loving care of Sam and for their care and commitment for Sam over the years.
