Obituary of Martha E. Wodarczyk
Martha Wodarczyk (nee Peel), 95, went peacefully to be with her Lord on 10/19/2022. She was the loving daughter of the late Albert Peel, Sr. and Martha (nee Reimenschneider). She was the loving mother to Karen, Ed Jr. (Gail Lyons), Mike (Fiona Hall), Tom (Donna Howarth), Rob (Donna Gliwa), Joe (Liz Peifer) and John (Jen Merkel). Martha is survived by 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Joan (Harry) Gaffney and Lois (John) McCuen, and by sisters-in-law Ag Peel and Terry Peel. Martha was predeceased by her sister Mary (Jack) Lynch and brothers Albert, Jr. Peel, Ernie Peel, Joe (Agnes) Peel and Harry (Terry) Peel.
Martha was born and spent most of her life in the Kensington neighborhood (1927-1997). She was a long time member of Ascension of Our Lord Church. She graduated from Ascension School in 1941 and Little Flower High School in 1945. She helped her sister, Mary, run Forum’s Flower Shop, was a bookkeeper for many years for Danby Radio, Billows Electric and Woods Brothers Lumber.
A viewing will be held at Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home (529 North York Road, Hatboro, PA) on Sunday the 23rd from 6PM to 8PM.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Martha’s Church (11301 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA) on Monday morning the 24th beginning at 9:00AM for viewing and 10AM for Mass, followed by interment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery (1215 Super Highway, Langhorne, PA). In lieu of flowers we know Martha would like donations to Little Flower High School. https://
