Ann M. Leahy Obituary

Ann made her final trip, going home to be with Jesus on Feb 15 th. She had 98 yrs of a wonderful

fulfilling life. It is with both great sadness and great joy that Ann will be remembered. She was

a great wife, mother, grandmom, great grandmom, aunt, great aunt and friend.

Loving mother of 5 children, Tom (Eileen McIntyre), Mike (Patricia Harmer), Jack (Christine

Boysen), Nancy (Dan Paiano), Kathy (Tom Catagnus). She was blessed with 17 grandchildren,

21 great grandchildren, and 14 nephews and nieces.

Born and raised in N. Phila., then moved to the Somerton section of the NE for 49 yrs, and most

recently resided at Ann’s Choice in Warminster.

Ann started working at AT&T as a long distance operator, then at the Land Title Bank, the Naval

Aviation Supply Office and after raising her 5 children , finally at IRS.

She was a loving and generous person demonstrated by donating to charities and supporting

Catholic education to her alma mater, Little Flower HS, showing her love of her children and

grandchildren by going to their sporting events, and attending concerts and dance recitals and

praying for all the intentions of anyone who asked.

She was also a woman of many skills, such as cooking, house cleaning, washing and ironing

clothes, sewing, typing school reports well into the early morning hours, dancing, including Irish

dancing, playing cards and raising 5 children.

Ann was the “best supporting actress” to her late husband, Tom. He was an organizer and Ann

was right behind him pitching in on whatever was needed to fulfill Tom’s plans. Together, they

helped form the character that is the basis for their great family.

Ann’s family is beyond fortunate to have had the life-long experience of a mother, grandmother

and great grandmother who gave her unconditional love and support.

Most importantly, she was committed to living her life dedicated to Christ, giving witness by

great example for all to see.
