My friend, you always had a way of rendering me speechless as I am still in a fog, a disbelief that you’re gone. I guess you could say we we were friends til the end. 1976 seems like a lifetime ago when we met becoming friends, starting a new school and meeting so many others. You never had any problems making friends and always seemed to bring us all together, otherwise we would never have known met half of who we did. Throughout the years our friendship was almost as if we were sisters, a “love-hate” friendship that even when there was a lapse in time, we took a break, we were always close and never missed a beat. We certainly knew how to push each others buttons as well as how to enjoy our time and we did so much together. We were there for each other through the good, the bad, the happy & sad times.
It has only been a week, I keep thinking you're gonna walk through my door or text me asking what I’m doing, who I’m with or give me a hard time about why I’m not with you. I am grateful for the many memories we've created over the years from the school events, graduations, birthdays & holidays, being their for the loss of a family member/friend, weddings or just us hanging out or hanging out with a group of friends. Please remember, there is NO COW TIPPING in heaven! We could drive each other crazy but we always had fun. We knew what to expect from “our Colleen” as you were always true to yourself and to the select few who were lucky enough to see your kind, generous and caring heart. If only everyone experienced all of you and who you were, they could have known “our Colleen” as we did….so I will share some pictures here that I have saved over the years.
I love you my friend and I will miss you dearly but I know you are in a better place and have no more pain. Reunited with your Grandmom, Uncle Buddy and Mom, I wish you Eternal Peace, until we meet again….
