William Francis Bell Obituary

William Francis Bell, Sr. age 84, of Warrington, PA died on May 5, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy A. Bushinski Bell for 55 years.


Born on April 21, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA he was son of the late James Bell and the late Alice Byrne Bell.


Bill graduated from Girard College. He served with the U.S. ARMY.


In April of 1965, Bill began his career as a City of Philadelphia Police Officer. After working at headquarters for a month, he was transferred to the Second District. He retired in 1992.


He was a member of Mary Mother of the Redeemer Parish.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Joe McNellis (Linda), Laura DiBiagio (Dennis), Ed McNellis (Leah) and Bill Bell (Maureen); Grandchildren: Kelly Hanik (Sam), Brian DiBiagio (Lauren), Douglas McNellis, Shannon McGuigan (Kyle), and Zachary McNellis; great-grandchildren: Bailey Hanik, Fallon DiBiagio, Joey Hanik, Gavin DiBiagio and Archer McGuigan and by his sister, Florence Garrish. He was preceded in death by his sisters; Dorothy and Lorraine and by his brother, James.


Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 10, 2024, Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Road, North Wales, PA, where relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
