Obituary of John Trout
John Trout lived life on his own terms, right up until the end. His legacy of helping others and his passion for music and the open road on two wheels will live on through his family. John passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024, at Grandview Hospital.
Born March 13, 1963, in Montgomery County, John was the son of the late Charles and Nancy (Bussinger) Trout. John was the beloved husband of Tracey (Schmulling) Trout; the couple shared 44 years of love and fun-filled memories with their large family.
Around Horsham Pa., John was known as a kind and crazy soul who would always lend a hand, no matter the task.
As a teenager, John fell in love with motorcycles, hot rods, heavy metal and Rock and Roll. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he became a machinist. It was at this time he really found his passion for creating beautiful, two-wheeled masterpieces. Since John had such a love for the open road, he ultimately switched careers to be a commercial truck driver, where he would eventually retire.
John was the strong, protector and guardian of his wife Tracey and his 5 children. He will be missed tremendously by his children, Jayson (Jacqui), John (Samantha), Nicholas (Haylee), Joseph, Devon, and his fur-child Maggie. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren (Lily, Kallei, Morgen, Carolina, and Charlotte).
His greatest lesson of all was “Our bodies are our vessels, but our spirit lives on forever”. Most of us want to be remembered for our accomplishments and whatever legacy we leave behind, however John had one more surprise to show us all just how much he cared for others. The Gift of Life- an Organ Donor organization. which gave John the opportunity to give the ultimate gift, life.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date, to be determined.
