Obituary of Rita Louise Matthews

Rita Louise Matthews, 85, of Warminster, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 in Luther Woods Nursing Home.

Rita was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Thomas and Anna Slavin on May 8, 1939. She went to high school at West Catholic High School for Girls, and graduated in 1957. She worked as a tele-typist at SPS for ten years. She was an avid reader, very devoted to her family, and always willing to offer life advice.  

Rita is survived by her husband, Charles of Warminster, Annemarie and Garth Bealor, Kathleen White, Katie and Michael John, Garth Bealor, Ashley Bealor, and Michael White.  She was blessed with eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and son, Charles T. Matthews III.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday October 24th, 9:30 A.M. at St. John Bosco Church 235 E. Countyline Rd. Hatboro. Rita's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. followed by Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
