Obituary of Joan M. McCombe

The family of Joan McCombe (nee Louden) of Warwick, PA is saddened to announce
her passing on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the age of 89, born on June 29, 1935.
Joan passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband, Alex, of 71 years, her
children Lynn (Bob), Michael (Barb), and Kerry (Margie.) Loving “Grandmom Joanie” to
Ryan (Peggy), Tim (Christina), Dan, Kevin (Katie), Albie (Jenna), Kaitlyn (Tyler), Nick,
and Ryan C. Great-grandmother to Audrey, Madison and Finn.
Joan was born in Philadelphia to the late Lucy Wistner and Joseph Louden, and spent
her childhood in Philadelphia and Horsham. After marriage to Alex, Joan lived with her
family in Warminster and then Warwick where she enjoyed raising her family and
spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was
her pride and joy. Joan was an avid reader and loved spending time on the beach and
walking in Ocean City, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation and funeral service St. Cyril of
Jerusalem Church,1410 Almshouse Road in Jamison PA on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am - 11:30 am, followed by her Funeral
Mass. Burial will be private at Whitemarsh Memorial Park
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
