Obituary of James M. Blue
James M. Blue, a resident of Warminster for 43 years, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016, at his residence. He was 72.
Jim was the loving husband of Melinda May Blue.
Born in Takoma Park, Md., Jim was the son of the late Irvin M. Blue and Elizabeth Hedquist Blue.
After graduating from the University of North Carolina, Jim began a successful career in retailing, and later in commercial real estate. He worked for many years with The Gap, Inc., eventually establishing two of his own businesses.
In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching their sporting events. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time on Long Beach Island.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by four sons, Todd (Deborah), Chad (Elena), Michael (Marisa) and James Jr. (Amy). Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Casey, Mackenzie, Anna, Sean, Megan, Andrew, Matthew, Joshua, Brooke and Ella, and two sisters, Linda Blue and Sandra Sloat.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 18, at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 999 York Road, Warminster, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
