Obituary of Joseph F. Sheedy

Joseph F. Sheedy Joseph F. Sheedy passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016 at the Pine Run Health Center. He was 85. Born in Philadelphia on May 17, 1931, Joseph was the son of the late John and Sarah Sheedy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Laura Sheedy, and survived by his loving wife, Isabelle Sheedy. Joseph was a graduate of North Catholic High School and LaSalle University. He was retired from Unisys Corp. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, playing cards, golfing, traveling, and the Philadelphia sports teams. Joseph is survived by his children, Michael J. Sheedy, Catherine S. Jensen (Christian), Joseph M. Sheedy (Sandra), Carolyn S. Seckinger (Jonathan), Nicole M. Speelman (Douglas) and Kira A. Rumpp (Christopher); grandchildren, Ashley L. Jensen, Emily C. Jensen, Amanda B. Seckinger, Kylie L. Seckinger, Montana W. Speelman and Dru C. Speelman; a great-grandchild, Thomas Joseph; and a sister, Dolores Bertram (Harry). Relatives and friends may greet the family from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday at the Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home, 529 N. York Road, Hatboro and from 9:30 a.m. until the Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at St. John Bosco Church. Interment will be held in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, 235 E.
